The Isle of Man is a special place for people and nature. This guide was originally developed during the 2018 Year of Our Island celebrations to encourage residents and visitors to celebrate our environment, our culture, our heritage and our community.
The ‘Our Island Trail’ is a selection of 12 routes that will take you across beaches, through glens and plantations and will give you a taster of our 272km of public rights of way.
These trails are between one and four miles in length and have been created to encourage people to explore more of our beautiful environment, and perhaps discover a new area of our Island that you haven’t been to before.
This guide provides interesting information that will highlight what is special about the area you are visiting, and includes some suggested activities for
families, friends and children.
Taking the longest routes, this trail adds up to a total of 28 miles. We’ve even included a tick list at the back so you can keep track of which walks you’ve
completed. Why not give them all a go?
